Product Specification

5-3/8" 30-TOOTH TCT SAW BLADE FOR STEEL & FERROUS METAL

The Benchmark Abrasives 5-3/8" 30-tooth TCT saw blade is built for fast, controlled cutting of steel and other ferrous metals. Its aggressive 30-tooth configuration and TCG (Triple chip grind) tooth geometry make it a strong choice for fabrication and jobsite work where cutting speed and productivity are priorities.

Durable tungsten carbide-tipped teeth cut through common steel shapes such as angle iron, pipe, tubing, rebar and flat stock while producing fewer sparks and less heat than traditional abrasive cutting methods. A 20 mm arbor with included 5/8" and 10 mm bushings provides added fitment flexibility for compatible compact circular saws.

Product Features

  • 30-tooth configuration favors fast, aggressive cutting and efficient chip removal.
  • TCG tooth geometry distributes the cutting load across alternating tooth profiles for durable metal-cutting performance.
  • Tungsten carbide-tipped teeth provide a long-lasting cutting edge for repeated steel cutting.
  • 0.079" kerf provides an efficient cutting path through common ferrous-metal shapes.
  • 20 mm arbor with 5/8" and 10 mm bushings expands fitment options for compatible saws.
  • Reduced sparks and heat compared with traditional abrasive cutting methods can help provide a cleaner, more controlled cutting experience.
  • 4,200 RPM maximum speed clearly identifies the operating limit for proper machine selection.

Materials & Applications

Best For

  • Mild steel
  • Steel
  • Wrought iron
  • Square tubing
  • Round pipe and tubing
  • Angle iron
  • Rebar
  • Flat stock
  • Steel plate up to 1/8"

The 30-tooth configuration is particularly useful for fabrication, installation, maintenance and general metalworking applications where faster cutting is more important than achieving the finest possible edge. The existing product specification specifically lists square tube, angle iron, 1/8" steel plate, pipe, tubing, rebar and flat stock as applications.

Machine Compatibility

Designed for compatible 5-3/8" and certain 5-1/2" circular saws that accept the blade diameter, arbor configuration and operating speed.

Common compatible machine brands include:

  • Milwaukee® M18 FUEL 2782-20
  • Bosch®
  • DeWalt®
  • Makita® XSC03Z
  • Panasonic®
  • Skil®
  • Ryobi® 5-1/2" saws

Always verify your saw's blade diameter, arbor size and operating RPM before installation. The saw must not exceed the blade's 4,200 RPM maximum rating.

Choosing the Right Tooth Count

With 30 teeth on a 5-3/8" blade, this is the faster, more aggressive cutting option. Choose the 50-tooth version when a smoother finished edge is the higher priority.

Tips for Better Blade Performance

  • Secure the workpiece firmly before cutting.
  • Use a steady, controlled feed rate and allow the carbide teeth to perform the cut.
  • Avoid forcing the blade through the material.
  • Keep chips and debris clear of the cutting path.
  • Inspect the blade before use for damaged, missing, or excessively worn teeth.
  • Replace or professionally sharpen the blade when cutting performance noticeably declines.
  • Saw blade lubricant can help reduce buildup and extend blade life during demanding applications.
  • Never exceed the blade's 4,200 RPM maximum operating speed.

Safety

  • Use only on saws designed to accept this blade diameter and arbor configuration.
  • Never install the blade on a machine that exceeds the blade's maximum RPM.
  • Keep all factory guards installed and properly functioning.
  • Inspect the blade before every use. Do not use a cracked, warped, or damaged blade.
  • Secure the workpiece before cutting and maintain control throughout the cut.
  • Do not use this blade on stainless steel or hardened materials.
  • Wear appropriate eye, hearing, respiratory, and hand protection for the application.

Evelyn ★★★★★

Cut through a stack of 1/4-inch steel angle iron without any burning or bogging down — the carbide tips held up impressively. Finished the job with noticeably less effort than my old abrasive wheel, and the cuts came out cleaner too.

Charlotte ★★★★★

Used this blade to cut through some old galvanized pipes and it handled them like butter. The 30 teeth on the TCT edge left a surprisingly clean finish with almost no burrs to file off.

Charlotte ★★★★★

Had to trim some steel angle brackets for a shelf project, and the 5-3/8" size with 30 teeth made the cuts noticeably quicker than my old blade. The carbide tips held up well through a dozen or so passes, no chipping or burning smell.
