12" 60-TOOTH TCT SAW BLADE FOR STEEL & FERROUS METAL

The Benchmark Abrasives 12" 60-tooth TCT saw blade is built for fast, controlled cutting of steel and other ferrous metals on compatible low-RPM dry-cut saws. Its 60-tooth configuration and TCG (Triple chip grind) tooth geometry favor efficient material removal and strong chip clearance, making it a practical choice for fabrication, production and general metalworking.

Tungsten carbide-tipped teeth help produce clean, burr-reduced cuts with fewer sparks and less heat than traditional abrasive cutting methods. The 1" arbor and 0.098" kerf provide a stable cutting setup for common steel shapes such as tubing, angle iron, plate, pipe, rebar and flat stock.

Product Features

  • 60-tooth configuration favors faster cutting and efficient chip removal.
  • TCG tooth geometry helps distribute the cutting load across alternating tooth profiles for durable metal-cutting performance.
  • Tungsten carbide-tipped teeth provide a long-lasting cutting edge for repeated steel cutting.
  • 0.098" kerf provides a stable cutting path through common ferrous-metal shapes.
  • 1" arbor fits compatible 12" low-RPM dry-cut saws.
  • Reduced sparks and heat compared with traditional abrasive cutting methods help provide a cleaner cutting experience.
  • 2,000 RPM maximum speed identifies the operating limit for proper machine selection.

Materials & Applications

Best For

  • Mild steel
  • Steel
  • Wrought iron
  • Square tubing
  • Round pipe and tubing
  • Angle iron
  • Rebar
  • Flat stock
  • Steel plate up to 1/8"

The 60-tooth configuration is well suited for fabrication, maintenance and production cutting where speed and productivity are important while still maintaining a clean finished edge.

Machine Compatibility

Designed for compatible 12" low-RPM dry-cut saws that accept a 1" arbor and operate within the blade's maximum speed rating.

Common compatible saws include:

  • Makita® LC1230

Always verify your saw's blade diameter, arbor size and operating RPM before installation. The saw must not exceed the blade's 2,000 RPM maximum rating.

Choosing the Right Tooth Count

With 60 teeth on a 12" blade, this blade favors faster cutting and chip clearance. Higher tooth-count blades are better suited when a smoother finished edge is the higher priority.

Tips for Better Blade Performance

  • Secure the workpiece firmly before cutting.
  • Use a steady, controlled feed rate and allow the carbide teeth to perform the cut.
  • Avoid forcing the blade through the material.
  • Keep chips and debris clear of the cutting path.
  • Inspect the blade before use for damaged, missing or excessively worn teeth.
  • Replace or professionally sharpen the blade when cutting performance noticeably declines.
  • Saw blade lubricant can help reduce buildup and extend blade life during demanding applications.
  • Never exceed the blade's 2,000 RPM maximum operating speed.

Safety

  • Use only on saws designed to accept this blade diameter and arbor configuration.
  • Never install the blade on a machine that exceeds the blade's maximum RPM.
  • Keep all factory guards installed and properly functioning.
  • Inspect the blade before every use. Do not use a cracked, warped or damaged blade.
  • Secure the workpiece before cutting and maintain control throughout the cut.
  • Do not use this blade on stainless steel or hardened materials.
  • Wear appropriate eye, hearing, respiratory, and hand protection for the application.

Timothy I. ★★★★★

Brought this blade for cutting some heavy steel beams and the speed of the cut impressed me right away. The carbide tips held their edge perfectly even after a dozen cuts, and the finish barely needed any cleanup.

Brian ★★★★★

I was a little worried about cutting steel at this size, but the 60-tooth configuration makes it feel incredibly smooth and controlled. It’s noticeably quieter and vibrates less than my old blade, and after a dozen cuts on some 1/4" plate, the tips still look sharp.

Richard O. ★★★★★

The carbide tips on this blade stayed sharp through a full day of cutting stainless tubing, and the 60 teeth gave a finish so smooth I didn't need to file the edges.
