SA-5NF CYLINDER SHAPE PREMIUM TUNGSTEN CARBIDE BURR– ¼” shank

SA-5NF Cylinder shape burrs are great for interior contour work and deburring. Due to the extreme hardness of this tungsten carbide, it can be used on much more demanding jobs than HSS (High-Speed Steel). These carbide burrs are made of tungsten carbide burr die grinder bits and will start to soften at higher temperatures, so carbide is always the best choice for long-term performance.

Aluminum cut carbide burrs tend to be used on non-ferrous metals like aluminum, copper, zinc alloys and magnesium as well as for non-metal materials such as plastics, hard rubber, and some woods. These carbide burrs are specially designed for fast stock removal without loading. Design allows chips to flow out of the flutes. Use for medium stock removal, deburring, finishing, and cleaning.

Safety Tips & Techniques:

  • Tool speed will be determined by the material you are using your burr on. If you are experiencing chipping, you are most likely operating at too high of speed for the application. Start with a slower speed and increase as you go along until you achieve the best results
  • Apply light pressure and let the tool do the work. Bearing down on the tool will result in reduced tool life and a dull burr.
  • Always wear proper PPE to include (but not limited to) safety glasses, hearing protection, respirator, and hand protection.  Keep all guards in place on your machine.
  • Avoid use on electric power drills; the slower speeds can result in chipping of your workpiece.

Scarlett K. ★★★★★

The ¼” shank fits my rotary tool perfectly, and the cylinder shape makes interior deburring a breeze without any grabbing. Cuts smooth and stays sharp through a full session of cleanup work.

Chloe T. ★★★★★

I needed a burr for some interior contour work on a small aluminum project, and the cylinder shape on this one made reaching tight spots much easier. The ¼” shank fit my die grinder perfectly, and it leaves a clean finish without much effort.

Julian N. ★★★★★

This burr cuts through aluminum like butter, and the cylinder shape is perfect for smoothing out the inside of a bracket I was working on. Zero chatter marks so far.
