6" Premium Purple Film Backed 6 (SIX) Hole Hook & Loop Discs - 50 Pack

Benchmark Abrasives 6" Premium Purple Film Backed 6 (Six) Hole Hook & Loop Discs have a backing made of a material similar to Velcro. It has the loop side of the hook and loop attach to the hook side of a backing pad. The backing pad attaches to the machine like a random orbital sander or disc sander. This makes it very simple to change the sandpaper.

Our new purple, premium sanding discs are here! We've designed these discs to cut faster and sharper than our competitor's discs without leaving deep scratch marks. Our film backing is tear-resistant, making them significantly stronger than paper discs. This strength makes them great for edges, corners, and other odd shapes. Typical applications for our purple sanding discs include preparing primed and painted surfaces for finishing, stripping primer and paint, sanding plastic and fiberglass, light weld blending and deburring, bare wood sanding, and finishing metal of all types.

The hook and loop sandpaper backing make it easy for installation and removal and simplify your work. These hook and loop disc work well on metal and non-metallic materials of various complex surface rust, paint, deburring, solder joints sanding, and polishing. Including bare wood, painted surfaces and metal, aluminum alloy, rubber, leather, plastic, stone, glass, and other materials.

Safety Tips & Techniques:

• Always wear proper PPE to include (but not limited to) safety glasses, hearing protection, respirator, and hand protection.  Keep all guards in place on your machine.
  
• Use in combination with a 6” Hook & Loop Backing Pads.  Make sure to match the number of holes on the disc to the correct pad with the same number of holes.
• Expert tip to extend the life of your belts: Use our Belt Butter life extending grease to prevent loading or grab a cleaning stick to clean an already loaded belt.
