10" Half-Round File (Bastard Cut)

I’ve been using this file on a few birch projects, and the bastard cut’s grit is just aggressive enough to shape the wood quickly without clogging. The flat side makes for a nice, clean edge when I smooth down a joint. It’s a solid tool for the price.

The rounded side really digs into curves while the flat side cleans up edges, and the bastard cut takes off metal fast without much effort. I've used it on a few small wood and metal projects already and it hasn't dulled or slipped in my hand once.

The flat side on this 10-inch bastard cut file is great for getting into tight spots, and the half-round curve handles smoothing edges nicely. It takes a bit more elbow grease than I expected on hard woods, but the cut is consistent and it leaves a decent finish.
