Product Specification

6" x 48" ZIRCONIA SANDING BELT

Benchmark Abrasives 6" x 48" Zirconia Sanding Belts are MADE IN USA. Each belt is made with a durable polyester backing that can support both wet and dry sanding applications. Bi-directional tape joints allow our belts to be run in either direction. Suitable for a multitude of applications, especially when deburring, shaping, weld removal, dimensioning, finishing, and tool and blade sharpening.

Our belts are made with the premium zirconia alumina grains and adhered to cloth backing that meets strict European standards, providing both long life and precision cuts.  They are designed for use on ferrous metals, composite materials, wood, plastics, and other metals.

Zirconia grains have a self-sharpening property and stand up to higher heat and pressure than Aluminum Oxide (A/O), thus making Zirconia the go-to option, providing excellent stock removal that gives you more bang for your buck.

Eva G. ★★★★☆

These belts hold up way better than the aluminum oxide ones I used to run through. The 6x48 size fit my old belt sander perfectly and the splice hasn't come apart after a few hours on oak. Only gripe is the backing is a bit stiff at first, so it tracks a little off until it warms up.

Samuel M. ★★★★☆

The zirconia grit cuts way faster than the aluminum oxide belts I used before, and after a few hours on oak it's barely worn. Only gripe is the splice joint gives a slight bump on my contact wheel. Still, for the price these hold up well.

Hazel U. ★★★★☆

Swapped these onto my old 6x48 sander for profiling knife blanks and the zirconia grit cuts way faster than the aluminum oxide belts I was using. Only gripe is the splice joint gives a little bump on the platen, but for the price I'll keep buying them.
